A remote SSH environment is a Linux computer you connect to over SSH. TermSquad provides that cloud computer; a compatible desktop harness, meaning the app you use to work with coding agents, provides the interface. Your remote files, installed tools and agent processes live on the TermSquad Computer.

How it works
Start with a TermSquad Computer and a desktop tool that supports remote SSH environments.
Get your computer’s hostname and set up an SSH key or a supported password. Choose the agent or admin user for the access you need.
In your desktop tool’s Remote SSH setup, enter that hostname, user and authentication details. The tool must support a remote Linux environment.
Open a project on your TermSquad Computer. Use the files, tools and agents installed there, or access the same computer through the Web Terminal.

SSH keys and supported password authentication are available. TermSquad provides separate agent and admin access paths with different permissions. Choose the least-privileged user that fits the task, and use the authentication details provided for your computer.
Yes. Desktop SSH access and the Web Terminal reach the same TermSquad Computer. When you open the same project with a user that has access to it, you work with the same remote files and installed environment.
SSH provides access; it does not make a terminal session persistent. Run long-running terminal work inside a Persistent Agent Session on your TermSquad Computer when it needs to survive a client disconnect. Reconnect to that session later; desktop chat history is managed by the desktop tool.
