What is the TermSquad Web Terminal?

The TermSquad Web Terminal is a browser-based terminal connected to your persistent Linux cloud computer. Run commands, use AI coding agents and manage project files without configuring local SSH.

Built for the work

Everything you need.
Already in the tab.

From the first command to the files your agents produce, stay close to your work.

01

A terminal that feels familiar.

Run shell commands, launch installed coding agents, copy and paste, and open links from terminal output. Your tools run on your Linux computer.

02

Your files, within reach.

Open the built-in file browser from the terminal. Upload, download, preview supported files and copy paths without setting up a separate transfer tool.

03

A connection you can return to.

The terminal reconnects after interruptions. Return to the same computer, with your project files and running Herdr sessions still there.

The right access for the task

Code as agent by default. Switch to admin in Terminal options for system administration.

A sound when the work is done

Enable optional completion sounds for supported agent sessions while the terminal is connected.

What is the TermSquad Web Terminal?

The TermSquad Web Terminal is a browser-based terminal connected to your persistent Linux cloud computer. Run commands, use AI coding agents and manage project files without configuring local SSH.

Do I need to install anything on my laptop?

No terminal app or local SSH setup is required. Sign in to TermSquad in a supported modern browser and open your computer. Install your preferred coding agents on the cloud computer and connect your own AI accounts or API keys; AI subscriptions and usage are not included.

Will my agents keep running if I close the browser?

Agent sessions managed by Herdr keep running on your TermSquad Computer after you disconnect, as long as the computer and session remain running. Reopen the Web Terminal to return to your workspace. Closing a tab is different from stopping or restarting the computer, and agents may still pause for input or provider limits.

Can I use the Web Terminal on my phone or tablet?

Yes. The terminal adapts to smaller screens and supports touch scrolling. Sign in from your mobile browser to check output or continue a session. A larger screen and physical keyboard are more comfortable for extended coding.

Can I upload, download and preview files?

Yes. Open Files from the terminal to browse your computer, upload or download files, preview supported text and image formats, and copy file paths. File links in agent output can also open the file browser.

What is the difference between agent and admin?

The terminal opens as agent for everyday coding. The agent user does not have sudo privileges. Switch to admin from Terminal options when you need machine administration access; admin has sudo in the authenticated Web Terminal.

What happens if my connection drops?

The terminal attempts to reconnect automatically after interruptions. You can also choose Reconnect in Terminal options or reopen the terminal. A browser disconnection does not itself stop the cloud computer or its Herdr-managed sessions.

Can I also connect with SSH or desktop tools?

Yes. The Web Terminal and SSH access the same TermSquad Computer. Use the browser for direct access or configure compatible desktop tools that support remote SSH environments.
